The Ton Spring Release Day 1

Big Day! It’s the first day of the Ton Spring Release and I’m excited to start sharing all the cards I made for this release. Effie really knocked out some killer stamp sets for this release, and one of my favorites is the Hello Hummingbird set. Isn’t it gorgeous??

I really wanted the hummingbird to be the star of the show on this card. So I created a soft watercolor background with similar tropical colors, and also stamped peonies in the same ombre colors with a rock n’ roll technique. This allowed me to keep the attention on this gorgeous hummingbird and less on the flowers.

See the details on this bird? Let me tell you, the only thing I did besides stamping the layers is color in the eyes black with a copic multiliner, and add a tiny sparkle in his high with a white gel pen. That’s it!! All remaining credits goes to this amazing layered stamp set.

The hummingbird body/wings were stamped with the new brown couture colors: Warm Hazelnut, Found Topaz Dye, Aspen Cocoa Dye.

The green feathers were stamped with thew new green couture colors: Bright Fern, and Deep Emerald Eye (It would look pretty rad with the turquoise line too, but I really love the bright greens!)

And the pink/red feathers in its neck is stamped with: Peach Blossom, and Coral Cavern.

If you use the same ink pads as the ones I listed, you’ll get a hummingbird exactly like the one pictured! Amazing right?
