The Ton Spring Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ton Spring Release Blog Hop! You may have hopped over here from Virginia Lu’s blog, but if you started here, that’s okay too. If you’ve been following our release week posts, you may have seen yesterday’s sweet release of donuts! Well, I can’t get enough of them, so I wanted to bring them back again for today’s blog hop. I have quite a sweet tooth for junk food.

Let’s start with the background! I blended Spun Sugar Distress Ink onto a piece of watercolor paper and gently let it fade to white, top to bottom. I then sprinkled on some water for a little texture, and die cut it out with the A2 size stitched rectangle.

Next, I worked on the sentiment. If you read yesterday’s post, I made some no-line copic colored donuts stamped from the Donut Bar stamp set. I saved 2 of those donuts to help me build my loud confession of love, donut-style, by replacing the O’s with donuts! I stamped the Vogue Alpha Upper letters to complete my LOVE YOU, and use the “more than doughnuts” sentiment from the Donut Bar stamp set, in Caviar Hybrid ink.

I brought back an old panda friend from the Panda Can’t Even set to help express my love! I used the different donuts in the Donut Bar stamp set to create the donut background, using Hollywood Star dye ink as a final touch. Make it rain donuts!!! (Have you seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? :P)  And that completes my card!
