The Ton 2016 Anniversary Release – Day 1

Happy Monday! Today marks the day we begin The Ton 2016 Anniversary Releases Week and there are several amazing surprises in store. Today we are featuring the Fresh Cut Roses, Timeless Icons Sentiments, Morning Glory Garden Background, and Fabulous Word Die.

The first card I am sharing with you features the Fresh Cut Roses and Timeless Icons Sentiments.  The roses is a layering set, that works perfectly with the new collection inks! Here I used the Orchid Collection inks for the roses.

I also used the Couture Color Crystal Pewter dye ink to create a soft blend of grey in the background and sprinkled on some Glass Slipper sequins. I absolutely love the sentiments from the Timeless Icons set. It has several quotes from Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel and pairs really well with these elegant floral cards!

My next card features the new Morning Glory Garden Background. Similar to The Ton’s previous backgrounds, the background stamp allows for some fun coloring (and embossing too!). Here I chose to stamp in Couture Color Noir dye ink and color in the background with Copics.

I also cut out of the morning glories from the stamp from the portion of the background stamp I didn’t use and colored it in Copics in a different color to match the beautiful Coco Chanel sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Timeless Icons set.

I have to say, coloring these morning glories were very therapeutic and fun. Hope you enjoy today’s cards and be sure to stop by tomorrow with some more surprises!
